THE DOG WHICH BARKED ITSELF OUT

- by Tymoteuscz Karpowicz (1921~ 2005 )

````
Fidēlis barked
himself to his
kennel from his
head to his tail
he would've barked
on but came to
an end measuring
four paws across
now Fidēlis
even censors
the light of
the moon
not a dog
but an official case
with the barking
taken out
the chain next
to the cabinet
has a ring
of irony.
